On August 8th, 2009 I was on a training ride when the accident occurred. A fractured Glenoid, fractured Scapula, two fractured ribs, and a bruised lung is what I brought to the Center for Athletic Performance and Physical Therapy on August 31st. The entire staff treated me like I was Lance Armstrong rehabbing for the Tour de France. They were knowledgeable, personable, and patient. If it wasn't for their collective efforts, I wouldn't have been cleared to ride again only a few weeks later. After 9 total weeks of conditioning and rehabbing, I took home a personal workout routine specifically designed by Tom and was able to finish the El Tour de Tucson (November 21st) in platinum time.
