The Pilates Method is a refined system of movement and therapeutic exercises developed by Joseph H. Pilates over a 60 year span with the goal of full body health. The method focuses on the core and postural muscles, strengthening the muscles and balancing muscular forces at the joint level. The Pilates exercises emphasize proper breathing while stimulating circulation by increasing muscular flexibility, joint range of motion and proper postural alignment. In addition, it promotes new neuromuscular patterns, heightened body awareness and improved coordination and balance. We utilize latest, most up to date Reformers designed by Joseph H. Pilates to enhance your Pilates experience. Our Certified Pilates Instructor is also a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and can assist you in recovering from injury in conjunction with your Physical Therapist.
