Meet our staff


AZTom Bratcher, PT, SCS
Tom has 19 years of experience working with athletes of all levels and abilities. He is one of a select few therapists with a Board Certification in Sports Physical Therapy. Tom is a member of the Orthopedic and Sports section of the American Physical Therapy Association and is ASTYM certified.

He has worked directly with the Kansas City Chiefs(NFL) and Royals(MLB), Arizona Diamondbacks(MLB), Arizona State University, Rockhurst University, Phoenix Roadrunners (IHL), Arizona Sandsharks Professional Soccer (CISL), Arizona Thunder Professional Indoor Soccer (WISL), along with being a consultant for many professional, collegiate and high school athletes in all sports. He has worked as a consultant for Washington State University as well as the Olympic Development Program and Arizona Youth Soccer Association.

He formerly played at a collegiate, national and professional level of soccer in the United States. He is a USSF national "B" licensed coach and is sitting for his "A" license this year. He was the director of the physical pillar of soccer for Sereno Soccer Club for 8 years in which time the club won more than 80 state, 7 regional, and 1 national championship with 2 national runners up and was constantly ranked the No. 1 youth club in the US during his tenure.

Currently, he directs the physical pillar for SC Del Sol of the Elite Club National League and Western College Development Academy. He has individually worked with numerous national team male and female soccer players including 6 captains of their respective teams. He also works with many aspiring nationally ranked gymnasts, figure skaters, distance runners, triathletes and tennis players. His passion is assisting athletes, injured and/or healthy; achieve their highest possible level of play.

After his career in soccer, he has run numerous marathons, half marathons and continues to enjoy competing at distance running. He states his biggest accomplishments as "being the best father I can be" and completing the Escape From Alcatraz swim and qualifying for the Boston Marathon. He has a wife, Tonya, and a daughter Talia.
 
Scott Ellis, PT, DPT, ATC
Scott is a native of Arizona and a graduate of the NAU PT program where he earned hs Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  He did an internship with the Milwaukee Brewers of MLB.  Scott utilizes his ATC licensure by covering many high school, club and other sporting events.  He has been the head athletic trainer at Barry Goldwater prior to attaning his DPT.    
 
arizonaBrian Schwallier, PT, DPT, CSCS
Brian, a native of Arizona is a graduate of the Northern Arizona University Physical Therapy program. Prior to PT school he received a Bachelor's degree of Exercise Science from Arizona State University. While in school Brian participated on many athletic teams at all levels, and acted as a Tennis instructor for three years. With Brian also being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist combined with his background, his passion is assisting others overcome injuries, prevent future injuries, and to achieve all their performance goals.  Brian enjoys spending his free time with his wife Tonya and their two sons, Braxton and Brady.
 
Burke Jorgensen, PT, DPT
Burke is a graduate of Brigham Young University both for undergraduate and his Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.  Burke is currently doing a fellowship at the Center in order to attain his Board Certification in Sports Physical Therapy.  
 
PhysicalChris Lybarger, PT, DPT
Chris, a native of New Jersey, graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania in 2008. His background includes playing collegiate soccer at Division II Gannon University from 2001-2005, as well as his involvement with hockey, golf, and track and field growing up. This athletic background has given him the insight and motivation to assist athletes, as well as general orthopedic patients, reach their functional and sport related rehabilitative goals.

TherapistSandi Oligny, ATC
Director of Athletic Training Services
Originally from Massachusetts, Sandi attended Ohio University in Athens, OH, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. Sandi worked with all of OU's athletics, specifically their football program. Upon graduating, she returned to Mass, to work at Williams College working with the women's field hockey and softball teams. Since Sandi has moved to Arizona, she has used her knowledge and experience as an Athletic Trainer, Certified, to help the Center produce successful outcomes with both rehabilitation and sports performance. Sandi directs the Center's Athletic Training Program in which she is responsible for all Athletic Training outreach including USA Lacrosse's Collegiate National Championships, as well as AYSA, USSF and US Club Soccer sanctioned soccer tournaments, gymnastic meets, and the Grand Canyon State Games.  Currently Sandi acts as the Head Athletic Trainer for Chapparal High School through our contract with the Scottsdale School District.
 
Amy Sauer, CSCS
Amy started her career at the Center in 2003 as a high school senior and started working as a performance specialist in 2008. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Amy attended Loyola Marymount University on a full soccer scholarship where she received Most Inspirational Player for the year in 2005 and 2006. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science from LMU. She played club soccer here in the valley as a member of the 85’ Sereno Golden Eagles. Amy credits her multiple knee surgeries for allowing her to find her true passion for strength and conditioning.
 
Joseph Huttanus, ATC, CSCS
Joseph, a native of New Mexico, graduated from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM in 2009. Joseph worked with the Div. I men's tennis and football teams while at NMSU. Playing a wide variety of sports growing up inspired Joseph to pursue the Sports Medicine field. He currenly participates in triathlons recently completing his first ironman.
