SOCCER TRAINING
|
|
As industry leaders, the Center is nationally and internationally renowned for its programs for individuals, teams and clubs. The physical demands of soccer are unique and our philosophies are set to match the uniqueness of the game. Our priority in our programs is to first, reduce injury risk, and second improve performance. It is our belief that it does not matter how fast one is or strong one is if they are not capable of playing due to injury. We have 3 training programs. Teams. Individuals. Clubs/Academies.
Indivdual Training
Individual soccer training programs begin with a thorough evaluation by our staff. A physical therapist does a full musculoskeletal evaluation and identifies any potential injury risks or bio-mechanical flaws. Our performance staff evaluates the individuals agility, body composition, strength, speed and stamina. Lastly, our staff evaluates the players nutrition demands and current patterns. We then take the evaluation findings and generate an individual program to assist the player in achieving their highest level of performance while minimizing any risks of injury.
Team Training
Team Soccer Training programs begin with a coach meeting with our staff to evaluate the season schedule and identify periodization plans. We then take the team through a battery of pre-training testing to identify areas in need of improvement within the team. Testing includes agility, balance, strength, speed, stamina. The team then trains as a group either at the Center or, for convenience of the team, at their practice field prior or following their soccer practice. Players on teams doing team training receive free injury assessments throughout their season by our team of physical therapists and certified athletic trainers.
Club/Academy Training
Club and Academy Soccer Training programs begin with a meeting between our staff and the Clubs directors to evalu ate the goals, set periodization plans and plan conditioning programs for the entire club. Our staff assists the coaching staff in designing practice and game warm-ups, cool-downs, recovery and nutrition strategies. The benefit of club wide training lies in the ability to have consistency of training throughout the entire club. It also makes it possible to set a curriculum of conditioning that matches the curriculum of soccer skill training and progresses year to year as the young player develops. The teams within the club typically work with our staff in ABSSS sessions where they work on agility, balance, strength, speed and stamina 1-2 x week during their season. Players within these clubs or academies receive free injury assessments by our team of physical therapists and certified athletic trainers.
