"I have had replacements of both knees.  I have worked with the Center to regain my leg strength and flexibility after each knee replacement operation.  My flexibility has improved by 30% and my leg strength is greater than before surgery!  The personnel at the Center are highly educated and extremely professional and knowledgeable in their field.  I strongly recommend the Center!!"

SPORTS PHYSICAL THERAPY

What is "Sports Physical Therapy"?

What is "Sports Physical Therapy"? It has become an overused, and misused, cliche in the field of therapy. A true Sports Physical Therapist understands not only the sport , not just the injury, but the true physiological and biomechanical demands of the athletic endeavor on the human body. Every athlete responds to the same sporting activity differently and therefore every athletes training and therapy demands should differ to specifically meet their needs. At the Center, we first meet individually with the athlete to perform a thorough analysis of their injury to determine "what?" is truly wrong. After diagnosing "what?" is wrong, we then proceed into another equally important aspect of our evaluation, "why?". Finding the true cause of the injury is the key to returning athletes to their sport and our "Sports Physical Therapy" program utilizes every avenue available to produce a more efficient and therefore less prone to injury, athlete. We will study the athlete, if capable, while performing their activity to analyze their mechanics. We then formulate a plan to get the athlete back on the field as quickly, but more importantly, SAFELY, as possible.

Digital Video Analysis of the following are also utilized to optimize our evaluation:

Bicycle fitting and biomechanic assessment
Running mechanic assessment
Throwing biomechanic assessment for baseball and softball
